don’t worry, you’ll get in without sports

really it all depends on the school you’re applying to, for ivy league schools it matters a lot if somebody in your family went there or what high school you’re from (private expensive is favored)

if you’re completely average academically, you can easily get into just about any state school regardless of sport involvement, just apply wide to multiple schools. it helps to have anything that makes you stand out from the crowd, but there will already be a crowd of people involved in sports

bottom line: college apps are very sporadicand show the bankrupcy of current standardized tests; you can do everything right and not get in. write good essays and secure good recommendation letters, that’ll weigh in far more than sports involvement

No sports, no problem! They are looking for extra curricular activities. That doesn’t require sports participation. Unless you are looking to major in something affiliated with sports…. then you might have a problem.
